Ready to begin your journey? Just download and install our client and you’re all set! No need to chase every mirror link those are only there in case your main download path gets sleepy or overloaded (it happens even in Rune Midgard!).

Astraheim runs just like the classic RO you remember - light, simple, and adventure-ready. To play smoothly, make sure your PC has at least an Intel® Core™2 Duo or AMD Phenom II, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB free storage, and Windows XP, 7, 8, or 10. Even older machines can join the fun—no MVP hardware required!

Common Issues & Solutions

Having a problem? Check below! there might a solution for it already.

  1. Install/Update Internet Webview for Windows to IE 11 or Install latest Microsoft Edge.
  1. This is caused by your ISP. You need to install a VPN to run the patcher.
  1. Close your game-client.
  2. Re-run Patcher.
  1. Download Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015-20xx). (Source: AIO Repack for latest Microsoft Visual C++ Runtimes)
        - This is an expected behavior when you have a freshly installed OS or haven't installed any game at all.
  1. Re-run the game client.
        - This is an expected behavior by Gepard Shield 3.0 which cleans up unused dlls/files in the folder.
  2. If issue persist, re-install Astraheim to ensure file are not modified.
        - Possible cause is modification of "gepard.grf".
  1. Navigate to your Astraheim folder.
  2. Run "opensetup.exe" (Run as Administrator preferred).
  3. Under "Graphics Device" dropdown, choose your video card.
  4. Click Apply then Ok.
  5. Run the game again.
  1. Navigate to your Astraheim folder.
  2. Run "opensetup.exe" (Run as Administrator preferred).
  3. Go to "Sounds" tab.
  4. Under "Sound Mode" dropdown, choose "Use 2D Sound".
  5. Click Apply then Ok.
  6. Run the game again.
  1. Re-install Astraheim to make sure all files weren't modified or corrupted.
  2. Allow Astraheim (Ragnarok Online) in your firewall.
  3. Add exception in your anti-virus "ragexe.exe" (Astraheim executable).
  4. If all the above fails, then it might be your internet service provider (ISP). You’ll need a VPN to resolve this issue.
        4.1 Download a free VPN such as ProtonVPN (https://protonvpn.com/).
        4.2 Install ProtonVPN and run the VPN.
        4.3 Run Astraheim again and start the game normally.
  • Re-install Astraheim to make sure all files weren't modified or corrupted.

  • Manually patch your game client by downloading the client patch data and use Manual Patch in the patcher under setup button.
  1. Make sure you have created your game account on your master account page registration page.
